FAQs

1. When can I check-in? You can check-in from 3pm on the first day of your stay up to 10pm on that day. However, if you are planning to arrive after 6pm, please notify us in advance to let us know.
2. What is the latest I can check out? You can check out up to 11am on your day of departure. Late check-outs may be available, please discuss with reception staff on your day of departure. We do operate a left-luggage service up to 6pm on your departure day, this to be arranged with the reception staff.
3. Accommodation description The accommodation is purpose built student accommodation over 5 floors and comprises flats with either 4, 5 or 6 bedrooms. We have 24-hour security cover, CCTV and secure door entry systems. The individual bedrooms each have a separate lock. There are shared kitchen/lounge facilities with the other guests in the flat. The flats have either 1 or 2 shared bathrooms.
4. What can I expect in my room? Each bedroom contains a large bed, desk, chair, vanity unit, wardrobe.
5. What is provided in my room? Duvet & pillows bed linen towels vanity unit
6. Do you provide a hair dryer and toiletries? These items are not provided.
7. Do you provide cots / beds for children? Unless you are booking a full flat, this accommodation is not suitable for young children or babies and therefore if children are in your party they should be aged 14 or over. We are unable to provide travel cots or small beds specifically for babies or children.
8. What is provided in the kitchen / lounge area? The following equipment is provided: Toaster, microwave, kettle, fridge, freezer, basic crockery and utensils. Comfy settees and coffee table wall mounted flat-screen TV.
9. Can I smoke in my room or in the flat? No. The building is a non-smoking property and it is against the law to smoke anywhere but within the designated smoking area. The reception staff can advise where you can find this.
10. Does the property have Wi-Fi? Free WiFi is available. The reception team will be able to advise the password details required at check-in.
11. Is there any parking? Free but limited parking is available on a first come, first served basis and cannot be booked in advance. Please ensure you provide car registration details at check-in.
12. Is there anywhere to store a bike? Yes we have bike racks which are also free and available on a first come first served basis. It is your responsibility to ensure that your bikes are securely attached to the rack, we do not provide padlocks etc, and this facility is used at your own risk.
13. Can I bring my dog or other pet? With the exception of guide dogs, pets are not allowed in the property under any circumstances. Pease notify us at the point of making your booking if you will be bringing a guide-dog with you.
14. Is there a laundry service? We provide clean bed linen & towels on arrival. These are changed on the 4th morning of your stay. Additional laundry facilities are provided should they be required. The washers and dryers are coin operated and located in the dedicated on-site laundry room which is open 24-hours a day. Washing powder and clothes conditioner is not supplied.
15. Do you provide breakfast? No we do not provide a breakfast service, however there is a supermarket located a short walk from the property where you are able to purchase all breakfast provisions and we can recommend Loudon's All Day Cafe and artisan bakery.
16. Do you take group bookings? This property can comfortably accommodate groups large or small. Whether you are a language group, student group, sports group, family or just a bunch of friends looking to get away to Edinburgh, we will be happy to welcome you to Fountainbridge.
